Every day, we experience life through two invisible lenses that separate how we see the world and what we expect from it. Sometimes, our expectations match reality perfectly. Other times, they’re a little blurry or distorted.

Using a simple concept from optics, Dr. Simin Cai invites you to think about your life in three spaces:

  • Object Space: The reality of what is.
  • Image Space: The way you perceive reality.
  • Self Space: The inner lens shaped by our opinions and emotions.

When these spaces align, happiness feels natural and sustainable. When they don’t, frustration can creep in.
